A Message From Mother Nature

  • The main point of the article is telling the information about climate change and the global warming.
  • Vocabulary:
  1. Intensity     : Extreme power, degree, amount or force
  2. Perception : The ability of seeing, hearing or understanding
  3. Evidence    : The information that provides the reasons to prove something
  4. Link           : The connection beetween people or things
  • The difference between climate and weather is a measure of time. Weather is the status of the atmosphere for a short period of time of a place. Climate is the pattern of weather and it exists for a long period.
  • Examples
  1. Torrential monsoon rains in Pakistan caused the worst flooding in decades, killing more than 1500 people and uprooting millions.
  2. A record-breaking heat wave along with a record-breaking drought destroyed millions of acres of wheat and sparked wildfires in Russia.
  3. Flooding in New England, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma. A record-breaking heat wave baked the entire eastern part of the country.
  • Experience that i've had with extreme weather : Once my region was flooded after a torrential rain. It was flooding everywhere. Water was constantly increasing because the rain kept falling. Water couldn't discharge down the drain, it was choked up, because there were many rubbish flew into the drain. Water came into many houses and it made the traffic jam.
  • The word "perception" mean the knowledge gained by perceiving. It is an ability of understanding about something.
  •   My perception of global climate change : The climate change is caused by burning fossel fuels and releasing greenhouse gases. The climate is changing everyday. The Earth temperature has been increasing about 1.4 degrees when human started to release enormous amounts of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. There is a link between climate change and the global warming. Therefore, the global warming can be blamed for that.
